The article that I picked was "Globalization vs. Americanization". Based on the article, the author Lam stated that globalization is not Americanization. Globalization consisted of multiple cultural identities, like Asian culture, European culture and etc. It could not be simplify as Americanization. The reason why it is difficult for Americans to grasp, I think America has definitely supreme power in the world. Therefore, American culture could spread worldwide; it seems that Americanization is globalization. In other words, it made me realized that power is so important in social environment.
